What services do you offer?
Our surgeons perform state-of-the-art surgeries, including Robotic, Endovascular, Minimally Invasive, Laparoscopic and Open Surgical Procedures repairing Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms, creating Vascular Access for Dialysis, repairing Hernias, treating Vascular challenges for Diabetic patients, treating Varicose Veins, implanting stimulators, surgical interventions for Cancer, and much more.
Do you take Health Insurance?
We accept Medicare and most PPO insurances. We also accept some HMO insurances. Please check with your insurance company to confirm we are contracted with them.
Where do you perform your surgeries?
Our surgeons have privileges to perform surgeries at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center, Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Reagan Street Surgery Center and MemorialCare Surgical Center Long Beach, just to name a few.
Can I choose what hospital or surgery center I will have surgery at?
The locations where our patients have surgeries are often determined by the type of surgery they are having and if their insurance company has a contract with that hospital or surgery center. We are willing to work with patients to schedule surgery at the appropriate facility of their choosing.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any tests or imaging you have had done, your insurance cards, and your identification card.
What are your COVID-19 policies in your office?
We ask that you check in with us by phone and wait in your car until we call you up to the office. We also ask that you wear a mask. Everyone is required to wear a mask in our office. Unless a patient needs assistance, we ask that only the patient comes to the office to help us maintain social distance for your safety and ours.
Will I need authorization for my procedure or surgery?
Based on your insurance company, it may be possible that you will need an insurance authorization. Our staff will contact your insurance company to request that authorization if that is required. Some HMO insurance companies take up to 14 business days to get back to us with an answer, but we strive to turn authorizations around as quickly as possible.
When I come to the office, how long will I have to wait?
We work to make sure that you will not have a long wait to see our doctors. However, sometimes patients have more questions that need answers or there's a patient emergency that requires physician attention. We ask that you have some patience with us as we try to meet everyone's needs.
What's the process of preparing for a surgical procedure?
If our doctors determine that you need surgery, there are a few steps before surgery happens. You may need "Medical Clearance" or "Cardiac Clearance" meaning your Primary Care Physician or Cardiologist will examine you and give the surgeon clearance to proceed with surgery. Also, you may need some medical tests (blood tests, X-Rays, EKGs, etc) prior to surgery. You will be told by our Surgery Scheduling staff what needs to be done prior to surgery.
